Testimonials

My son and I could not recommend Tash more highly. My 7 year old son has just successfully passed the entrance exam to a selective Guildford school and we are extremely grateful to Tash for her support. It was a bit of a rush with only 6 weeks preparation but I feel the time was well used to focus on the key areas.

Charlie “I learned with lots with Tash, I liked doing the puzzles but my favourite thing was her dog crumble

Tash was amazing. My daughter was extremely happy attending her weekly lessons.
She gained so much confidence in her English and Maths, which motivated her
to work harder for her 11+ exams. A great tutor, very attentive and dedicated.

I can’t recommend Tash highly enough. She has tutored our son for a few years now and has a vast and in-depth knowledge of the subject areas, teaches with great patience and is able to adapt the lessons to suit any topics our child needed extra work on or that he was struggling with at that time. As her tutoring is bespoke, it really does offer a personalised service which accounts for areas of our son’s strengths or weaknesses and how these change over time. Also, she was fantastic at recognising our son’s moods on the day and adapting her lessons accordingly!

Tash has been instrumental in our son’s preparations for his 11+ exams and got him ready for these with her tutoring, mock exams and suggestions for additional work. Not only this, but she has been invaluable in offering advice as to which secondary schools would suit our son and which he had a realistic chance of getting into. We would have been lost without this advice and will always be grateful.

He was offered places at Northwood, Kew House, Radnor House and Ewell Castle.

Tash helped our daughter during lockdown with great zoom sessions one on one. Our daughter Evie and Tash developed a good zoom rapport and worked well together focusing on maths, English, VR and NVR for the ISEB examinations.

After summer we were able to join forces with another classmate and meet face to face for Teatime Tutor sessions at the Bolingbroke which Evie enjoyed and thrived in. Evie’s confidence grew and useful prep for the exams plus her interview forms. With decision day from Woldingham next week, we hope all the hard work from Tash and Evie has paid off. Thank you Tash.

I am delighted to recommend Tash at Teatime Tutors for her professional , dedicated and kind approach to the 11+ exam process. She offered detailed insight into the schools of interest to us and once we had narrowed down our preferences she streamlined her sessions to give my daughter detailed knowledge of these papers. My daughter looked forward to her weekly sessions with Tash, and this enthusiasm carried her through the 11+ process. She ended up at her school of choice with a double scholarship. Thank you Tash!
Tash is incredibly patient and supportive. She quickly identified Ciaran’s areas for development in both Maths and English and spent time with him to ensure his confidence grew resulting in him achieving great results. We got three offers for schools and were delighted The feedback from Tash every week was plentiful and very reassuring. Thank you Tash for all your support You’ve really helped us all get through the 11+ in one piece!

Ciaran: I enjoyed going to TTT every Thursday at Dynamo. It is awesome. It was funny to see my friend from football there on the first day! Tash really helped me improve my reading comprehensions and I got ‘eerie’ into my story at Emanuel! We did maths as well, and I like Maths. I can thoroughly recommend TTT to help you...and the pizza is delicious! Yum.

Ciaran received offers from Emanuel, Kew House, Epsom College and is weigh listed for Ibstock.

I would definitely recommend Tash to others as although your main audience seem to be the private school children, you have the extensive experience of both the state and private sector which is a real positive. It may not suit every child to have tutoring in groups but it worked really well for Jamie once he got used to it. It engages children with tutoring to a much higher degree than one to one give the social element with pizza etc too. You have a great balance of firmness, discipline, approachability and individualising the learning for each child which is great. You achieve that balance I think of being liked but also respected by your students. You were also always very willing to spend time giving honest and constructive feedback to us as parents and no question was too much trouble! Although not the cheapest tutoring option the investment is worthwhile.

We sought out your tutoring as a way of introducing another “qualified” adult to our son’s academic focus and progress, having found his response to our interventions as parents pretty challenging! There is absolutely no doubt that it worked. He responded very well to your input, guidance and structure and although tricky at times, we feel that the group structure was also helpful - a chance for him to manage his concentration around others and to see how he was doing in comparison. My husband and I also benefited enormously from your perspectives on his progress, areas to work on and on our school selection - often complementing what we had already heard/knew but at times giving an altogether different outlook which we really appreciated. He is in good shape for 11+ - and so are we - and we thank you very much for all you’ve done to get us there

He was offered places at both St John’s Leatherhead and Whitgift.

Tash helped prepare our daughter for her 11+ Entrance Exams. She worked hard to make the sessions fun but also challenging. She really understood our daughter’s needs and was adaptable when required. Tash demonstrated an excellent understanding of what the 11+ process involved and what each school required at examination.

Tash enabled our daughter to gain confidence in her abilities and was well prepared in exam technique. As a direct result of this she achieved an Academic Scholarship. We have been delighted with Tash and Teatime Tutors and would recommend them wholeheartedly.’

Scarlett: Tash is kind and understanding. She really helped build my confidence around comprehension and creative writing during the 11+. She made me laugh. I will miss her.

Scarlett received an academic scholarship to Woldingham, a place at Putney High School and is weight listed for Wimbledon High School.

Tash has made lessons fun and enjoyable. I have always had a negative feeling towards English however Tash was able to change that.

Ever since I have started with her my English has been improving drastically and I am much more motivated to learn and thrive. She was able to unlock a creative aspect in me. Now I love English, I hope to improve even further and develop my skills.

If I had not met Tash I would have not been able to get accepted into Dulwich College. I am so grateful as she has not stopped her inspirational teachings even though in the beginning I was frustrated and not willing to continue.

Tash has always supported and been there for me since the beginning.

We always had so much fun during our lessons and she always knew how to get me interested in what we were learning. I would definitely rate her teaching ten out if ten.

Our eldest son was in Year 5 when we started working with Tash. We had struggled to find a good and fun English tutor. Tash had been recommended by a good friend and teacher and from the first moment she meet my son it just clicked. My son was looking forward to his Saturday morning English tutoring. She was always punctual, dynamic and very well prepared. Each lesson was tailored to my son’s needs and she was always very reactive to change the lesson if my son was less engaged or losing focus.

She then also started tutoring my 2nd boy a year later and he has also been very happy and stimulated in his lessons.

She also offered me precious advice to help me choose the right school for my boys and comfort during the stressful exam periods.

We worked for over 2 years with Tash and can only recommend her.

Tash tutored my son (Yr 6) one on one for 4 months working towards his 11+ exams. Tash is exceptionally reliable and hard-working - I was very impressed by how much thought went into the practice papers that my son was doing and how carefully planned all of the sessions were. My son found Tash to be really helpful with his maths and reasoning and thought she was a good tutor that he got on well with. I liked the fact that there would regularly be laughter coming from the room. He felt that he could tell Tash when he didn’t understand something and we both felt that she is very approachable and willing to listen. My son finished his tutoring a lot more confident and able in maths.

Thank you so much for all of your help and support!

TTT is a fun way of tutoring and I really enjoyed it. I would never have understood percentages without Tash! Thank you. - from Jasmine

Teatime Tutors has been wonderful for Jasmine. Thank you. From the first time I spoke to Tash I knew I was in safe hands. She was reassuring and made it clear immediately how she could help Jasmine and, as time went on, that help and support never faulted.

Over the weeks and months I saw Jasmine’s confidence grow and going to TTT was always fun - something Jasmine looked forward to every week. The tutoring (in agroup of four) helped Jasmine consolidate lessons she’s done at school and allowed her to ask more questions than she probably would have asked in class .She was also taught some things not already covered at school. The rhythm of one week English and one week Maths worked brilliantly. The homework was always relevant and again helped me see how she was progressing. Every week Tash talked me through what she’d done that session, where Jasmine had flown andwhere she’d needed extra help. I found this extremely useful.

As Jasmine neared the senior school entrance exams Tash helped us with ourchoices of schools. She did this in a very reassuring way and was consistentwith the advice we’d received from school. This was very much appreciated.

Overall I am delighted with TTT and would highly recommend Tash and TTT.

Thank you Tash. You are a star!
